Mobility Scooter Rental Orlando - Scooter Rental tips for Seaworld
Sea World Orlando is a very decisive park for use with a mobility scooter with mostly attractions that require you to transfer from a mobility scooter. There are some that you can remain in your mobility and quite a few that mobility scooters are not at all for use with, meaning you must simply walk. I provide the list below to help you decide what’s best for you and your party. Note: Guest Services is located next to Information & Reservation Counter just inside the Park Entrance. While everyone’s disabilities can vary, should you have any questions about a particular attraction, I suggest stopping by Guest Services, you’ll be passing it anyway heading in, so take a moment and ask these friendly employees if there’s anything you should know beforehand about any particular attraction.
Unfortunately employees of the parks are no longer able to completely assist in your transfer from mobility scooter to supplied wheelchair or ride system directly. This is not due to the extremely helpful and caring people that most parks employ. They just can no longer help individuals in need due to our litigious society. Certain parks’ verbiage has something akin to “employees may help balance, but not assist, in lifting of any kind. That can only be one’s own party member.”
Sea Word is not particularly broken up into different themes “worlds” so here’s the overall information you need:
These attractions at Sea World Orlando do not require you to leave your mobility scooter: Shamu’s Happy Harbor, and the Sky Tower.
These attractions at Sea World Orlando may require you to transfer out from a mobility scooter: Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, the Flying Fiddler, the Journey to Atlantis, Ocean Commotion, the Paddle Boats, the Sea Carousel, the Seven Seas Railway, Shamu Express, Swishy Fishies, and The Wild Artic.
These attractions at Sea World Orlando simply do not allow for mobility scooters (mostly roller coasters, and I don’t think I need to explain why), so you must be able to walk: the Jazzy Jellies, the Kraken, the Mako, the Manta, and Water Works.
With that in mind, I hope this information finds you well, and enhances your time at these theme parks. Remember, when in doubt it never hurts to ask a park employee about a particular ride or attraction. You may be surprised how helpful and caring they are.
Finally, a brief word about Sea World’s water adventure Discovery Cove and Aquatica water park.
I don’t think anyone will have any surprises with Discovery Cove as it requires an advance reservation for their
Coral Reef, Dolphin Swim, Ray Lagoon, Resort Pool, and Tropical Aviary attractions.
If your kids start asking for any of these attractions you know they’re located in the water park and realistically speaking, not a place for the best use of a mobility scooter: Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores, Dolphin Plunge, Hoo Roo Run & Walhalla Wave, Ihu’s Breakaway Falls, Kata’s Kookaburra Cove, Loggerhead Lane, Omaka Rocka, Roa’s Rapids, Tassie Twister, Taumata Racer, Walkabout Waters, or Whanau Way.
